Installation Guide

This video will show you how to disassemble, rebuild, and properly lubricate your 90-tooth Tekton ratchet using this service kit.

Ratchet Lubrication

A small tube of Super Lube® Grease is included in every ratchet service kit. This patented, heavy-duty NLGI Grade 2 synthetic grease provides long-lasting protection against friction, wear, rust, and corrosion. We recommend relubricating your Tekton ratchet with Super Lube Grease once a year.


To Use the Lubricant:
  • Apply a dab of grease inside the detent spring hole and another dab between the pawl and the switch pin
  • Use a very small amount—too much grease can degrade the ratchet's performance
  • Avoid applying grease on the gear and pawl teeth
