As a Product Performance Engineer, you quantify the capabilities and behaviors of our tools through rigorous testing, measurement, and analysis. Your results feed directly into the work of our Product Development department, Manufacturing department, Quality Control team, and Marketing group.

<li>1. Measuring and analyzing key performance aspects of our tools. This includes hardness, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, strength, and failure modes.</li><li>2. Implementing methods, procedures, and equipment. What you implement must support rigorous evaluation through sound statistical practices, proper isolation and control of variables, and tests that are reliable and repeatable.</li><li>3. Organizing, summarizing, and presenting results to teams across the company. You will arm them with the information and data they need to confidently proceed in their work of designing products, developing manufacturing processes, and taking our products to market.</li><li>4. Leading the design, organization, operation, and advancement of our laboratory and equipment.</li>

<li>You must have exceptional values, including honesty, integrity, and empathy. You will be engaged in multiple projects at any given time, each with its own schedule, so the ability to work independently and to consistently achieve results on time are critical. A strong capacity for learning, a commitment to excellence, and high energy are essential to success.</li>

<li>You do not need a specific degree or job history, but a background in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or related fields could be helpful.&nbsp;</li>

<li>This is a full-time salaried position located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Occasional travel throughout the continental United States will be required.</li>
