Torque Wrench Recertification Service Process
Service Includes:
- Calibration check
- Adjustment to restore the stated accuracy for the model, if necessary
- New certificate of calibration
Recertification Process
- Submit a Form: We will email you with a shipping label and instructions, typically within one business day.
- Package and Drop Off Your Torque Wrench: Use the provided shipping label and drop off your torque wrench at any UPS drop box location.
- Torque Wrench Testing: Once we receive your torque wrench, we will run a test using our torque checking equipment. If your torque wrench is in range, we will certify it. If recalibration is needed, we will recalibrate, retest, and certify it. We will also check and certify the angle measurements on electronic torque wrenches.
- Email Confirmation: We will email a summary of the services performed along with a PDF certificate, typically within two business days of receiving your torque wrench.
- Payment Link: You will receive a payment link via email. If your wrench tests within the stated accuracy, the cost for recertification is $50. If your wrench requires adjustment to achieve the stated accuracy, the cost for recalibration and recertification is $75.
- Return Shipping: We will provide a return tracking number via email and your certified wrench and calibration certificate will be shipped back to you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you certify all brands of torque wrenches?
No. Only Tekton torque wrenches in our current lineup are eligible for the recertification service.
What if my Tekton torque wrench isn’t offered on Tekton.com anymore?
We can only recertify Tekton electronic, micrometer, and split beam torque wrenches in our current lineup.
How much does recertification cost?
If your wrench needs recertification only, the cost is $50. If it requires both recertification and recalibration, the cost is $75.
What if my torque wrench is still in spec?
If no recalibration is needed for your torque wrench, we will test it and provide a certificate of calibration.
Do you offer recertification outside the United States?
No. Torque wrench recertification services are currently limited to the United States.
