Insulated for Electrical Work

The handles are insulated to protect against electrical shock for voltages up to 1000 V AC and 1500 V DC. They are individually tested and VDE certified in accordance with IEC 60900.

Six Work Zones

The stout jaws offer six distinct work zones:

1. Wire Cutter for fast, clean cuts

2. Flat Tips for even clamping

3. Hex-Grip Teeth for turning hex bolts

4. Coarse Teeth for an aggressive bite

5. Fine Teeth for controlled gripping

6. Wire Groove for holding a single wire

The wire cutter has two opposing knives that meet in the center and are induction-hardened to 55 - 59 HRC.

Hex Grip Teeth

The jaws have a unique set of teeth that positively engage small- to medium-sized hex fasteners, similar to a 12-point box-end wrench.

Wire-Holding Groove

The jaws have a dedicated wire-holding groove behind the tips, allowing you to firmly grip and bend a single wire without marring.

Flared Handles

The tops of the handles are flared to give your hand a positive stop to push against, allowing better control with a looser grip and reduced hand fatigue. The flared shape also keeps the pliers from slipping through your hand or settling to the bottom of a storage pocket.

Materials

A. Pliers Body — Drop-forged steel, oil-hardened to 43 - 45 HRC, and enamel-coated. Cutting knives are induction-hardened to 55 - 59 HRC.

B. Yellow Handle Core — Hard polypropylene.

C. Red Handle Overmold — Soft, grippy thermoplastic elastomer (TPE).
