The ball end has a 20º angle to increase access

20º Angle Increases Access

The ball end increases your ability to access fasteners while still maintaining sufficient strength.
A 3/8 in. drive long ball end bit socket is 6 inches long and has 4 inches more reach than a standard bit socket, which is 2 inches long.

Long Reach Bits

Long bits allow you to reach deep into narrow, recessed areas.
The steel bit is press fit into the socket.

Straight, Permanent Connection

Bits are pressed directly into the socket for a permanent connection. The carefully-controlled process ensures bits are exceptionally straight, and the tightly-mated fit results in a bit that won't loosen over time or under stress.

6140 Chromium-Vanadium (Cr-V) Steel Socket

Heat-treated to 40.5–47.5 HRC. Chrome-plated exterior is highly corrosion resistant and wipes clean to a mirror finish.

S2 Steel Bit

Heat-treated to 57-63 HRC to resist shocks and maintain geometry under stress.

Large, Stamped Markings

  • Permanently impressed into the material by a roll-stamp die
  • As large as possible while still being readable along the socket’s curved surface
  • Clearly visible size numbers with extra-deep outline
