Star-shaped Torx® bit has 6-lobes for an exact, high-torque fit that resists camming out.

External star (E-Star) sockets have an internal 6-lobe geometry designed for a high-torque fit that resists slipping.

Two-Piece Design

Our two-piece bit socket design allows us to optimize the steel alloys, heat treatments, and forming processes for the bit and socket separately for a tool that’s higher performing and more durable than traditional one-piece impact bit sockets.
Impact socket material

4140 Chromium-Molybdenum (Cr-Mo) Steel Socket

Heat-treated to 40-45 HRC for use on impact wrenches. Coated with a corrosion-resistant manganese phosphate finish.

Impact socket bit material

S2 Steel Bit

Heat-treated to 57-63 HRC to resist shocks and maintain geometry under stress.

Drive Tool Retention

Sockets work with both types of anvils found on 1/2 inch drive impact wrenches:
