Details
Large, Stamped Markings
- Permanently impressed into the material by a roll-stamp die
- As large as possible while still being readable along the socket's curved surface
- Clearly visible size numbers with extra-deep outline
Fully Stepped Shoulders
Narrowed diameter stretches to the base of the socket on small sizes. This provides greater reach into tight, recessed areas.
Exterior and Interior Finishes
- The smooth chrome-plated exterior resists corrosion and wipes clean to a mirror finish
- The interior is protected against corrosion with chrome plating that is supplemented with a clear coat or painted finish where needed for full coverage
12-Point Socket Opening

Prevents Fastener Round-Off
Radiused corners prevent fastener round-off by applying force to a fastener's flat sides, rather than its corners.
Secure Drive Tool Engagement
Four detent grooves provide a secure connection with the retaining ball of a drive tool.
High Torque Strength
Meets minimum value of 1.2 times the ANSI standard for Proof Torque. Verified by a single-cycle test that applies torque until specified value is reached without failure or permanent deformation.
Foam Organization
Material and Construction
We use USA-made, cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) foam, a closed-cell material that won't absorb liquids. Each organizer has two layers that are permanently heat-laminated together, with densities that are selected to produce clean, tear-resistant cutouts and a secure fit for each tool.

Cut in Michigan
We design and CNC-cut each foam organizer in our Grand Rapids, Michigan, manufacturing facility to optimize for high tool density, easy access, and secure fit of Tekton tools.
