We are excited to announce an improved line of Tekton screwdrivers. This new lineup will roll out in phases over the next several months and will replace both our Hard Handle and High-Torque screwdrivers. Today we are releasing the first phase that includes 34 individual drivers for Phillips, Slotted (mm), Torx®, and Square. Many sets will include the option to add modular organizers, and a few are available in foam for Open Top Drawers in our Stacking Organization System.

Discontinuing Our Former Screwdrivers
In July 2025 we exited the Hard Handle screwdrivers from our lineup, and today we are exiting the High-Torque screwdrivers as well. We’ll miss both of these programs—they were an important part of Tekton’s growth.
Availability and Warranty Replacements for Discontinued Screwdrivers
We have moved all remaining inventory of discontinued screwdrivers to the Tekton Outlet, where they are available at a reduced price while supplies last. You can also find limited quantities through select online marketplaces, regional retail stores, and other authorized tool dealers.
The Hard Handle and High-Torque screwdrivers are still backed by our warranty. If your driver doesn’t work as it should, let us know and we’ll make it right. We’ll send an exact replacement when available, but if not, we’ll replace your tool with a comparable driver from the new program or issue a rewards credit or tool of equal value.
New Screwdriver Design Features
Handle:
The most obvious difference in our new lineup of screwdrivers is the handle design. The front of the handle is round for quick turning and the middle transitions to a tri-lobe shape that provides a secure grip for high-torque driving. The front end of the handle flares out to prevent your hand from slipping while you’re pushing it forward and turning.
The inside core is made of hard polypropylene for rigidity and is surrounded by a slightly soft and grippy overmold for controlled spinning, fine adjustments, and reduced slipping.
The handles come in three distinct sizes that balance speed, grip, and torque. The small handles pair with precision tips for control on delicate tasks, with a rounder handle shape that favors faster spinning and lower torque. The medium size handles strike a balance between speed and grip. Larger handles match bigger tips for maximum torque on large screws, featuring a more prominent tri-lobe shape for increased grip and power. A through-hole in the handle makes it easy to hang on pegboard hooks or attach a safety lanyard.
Tips/Shanks:
The shanks have a satin chrome finish with masked tips that have a manganese phosphate coating for precise geometry and corrosion resistance. Phillips and Slotted (mm) drivers come in multiple shank lengths. Tip sizes are clearly marked in four locations on each driver for easy identification. All of the handles are molded around flat wing-shaped shanks to prevent twist-out.
