TECHNICAL MARKETING DEVELOPER
Direct Supervisor: Director of Tekton.com & Campaigns
Tekton needs a Technical Marketing Developer to tell the story of our products. You will need to deeply understand the products we are making, including specific decisions about process and design, in order to uncover interesting stories that exist within the products themselves and the work that we do. You will work with content creators in the Marketing group to tell the story of each new product release and to create additional content that engages our user groups.
Some specific role responsibilities
- Collaborate with our Tool Developers, like an embedded journalist, to bring the story of our products to life on Tekton.com
- Work with UX/UI Designers, Graphic Designers, and Tekton.com Developers to deliver compelling content to Tekton tool users
- Use a mix of writing, images, diagrams, and videos to clearly explain complex ideas
- Create supplemental content about our tools and brand that can be shared through our blog, email campaigns, social media, and other outlets
Education, experience, and skills
You do not need a specific degree or job history, but a background in product development, engineering, journalism, communications, marketing, or related fields could be helpful in this role. You must have excellent editorial judgment and a passion for storytelling. Personal experience using hand tools in mechanical applications is a plus. A very high capacity for learning, a commitment to excellence, and high energy and focus are essential to success.
Location and hours
This is a full-time salaried position located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
