PRODUCT LIFECYCLE SPECIALIST

Direct Supervisor: Campaigns Coordinator

There are multiple phases in a product’s lifecycle: development, release, ongoing production and distribution, revision, discontinuation, and more. The Product Lifecycle Specialist manages the data and processes that move our products through these phases so that Tekton employees relying on this data have the latest information and know when they need to carry out their tasks in the product’s lifecycle. This requires high knowledge of our information systems and close coordination with people in multiple departments.

The ideal candidate is organized with a high attention to detail. The person in this role must work with a variety of people across departments, so it is important that they have a highly collaborative work style and exceptional communication skills.

Some specific role responsibilities

  • Deeply understand and manage product information within our information systems
  • Project manage new product release and exit schedules for multiple sales channels
  • Define and import data for new products, working with Product Developers to define and create bills of materials
  • Track changes to products and communicate with our Supply Chain and Tool Development departments in order to roll them out in a coordinated manner
  • Identify and implement improvements to our internal product lifecycle process

This is a full-time salaried position located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
